Sharing Watermelon

We stopped at a road side stand to buy watermelon and they will cut you a big plug out of the center so you can taste it. It was delicious so we bought a couple and when we turned to put them in the car this old man was just sitting there on his bike looking at us so as you might have quessed your Dad gave him a big chunk of the melon. He loved it!

Your Dad Still At It

We were driving home up "the wall" last night and someone had punched a hole in the wall, I am suspecting it was so the school kids who will be going back to school this week, won't have to go so far to go to their little school. Anyway, as we drove buy two beautiful little faces were looking out and so we stopped and your dad had a piece of candy for them. Soon kids started coming from somewhere inside the wall and started pouring out like you had poured something in an anthole. These people love your Dad! (so do I!)

Your Dad

This is so typical of your dad. The story of this woman is long but in a nut shell she lives in the grass alongside a road way and she is always there everytime we go by so your dad has been stopping to give her things. At first she was frightened of him but now she recognizes him and smiles. I just caught this picture from the car window.

I wanna be like Mom

If I could...
handle four kids, I could be like my mom,
think the bloodier it was the cooler it was to fix, I could be like my mom,
keep a level head when I saw blood, I could be like my mom,
make sack lunches with special notes in them and a hand colored sack, I could be like my mom,
handle my kids' hate each other, beat each other, hate each other, beat... moods, I could be like my mom,
deliver breached baby calves with four kids watching and make them realize it is a miracle, I could be like my mom,
had catlike reflexes to jerk some poor unsuspecting soul over the couch for saying the SU*$ word, I could be like my mom,
cook without the recipe and make it taste oh so wonderful, I could be like my mom,
shoot the sheriffs pigs, have a kid on my hip, and make a phone call at the same time, I could be like my mom,
instill fear in to my kids about getting a tatoo, I could be like my mom,
always look out for those who need a little extra boost, I could be like my mom,
be at every soccer, baseball, play, rodeo (no matter how far) I could be like my mom,
sacrafice my saddle, horse, trailer, ball mit, freetime to my children, I could be like my mom,
if I could forget about myself and be more like my mom, I could be like my mom.
Happy Mothers Day Mader!! We love you!
