Isn't he amazing! No tubes are attached to this little boy. The nurse said that he is doing great. . . if we can just get him to breathe and eat at the same time. Cooper forgets to take in oxygen as he is sucking on his bottle. So it took a good hour to feed him 2 ounces. Shaney would watch his oxygen monitor and if it dipped below 70 while he ate, the bottle would come out and he would breathe. But, Cooper got better & better at it while Shaney fed him this morning (Wed. November, 12).

I got him with his eye half open. The little red mark on his cheek is from the tape that was holding his tubes.










Mama gets to hold her baby! Cooper was too snuggly with her and would fall asleep. I had the fun job of trying to keep him awake while he ate. I rubbed his ears, shoulders & back, but tickling his toes was the best & most effective. (I let him know that Grandpa Puzey would be cringing if he saw this little boys foot getting rubbed!)












After an hour and a diaper change he finished off the 2 ounces. Then, with a kiss from his mom he was off into dreamland till the next feeding!

The doctor said that if he continued to eat well, he could be home in 2 days.

We are all excited to get to know this little one!
