pumpkin faces

We all got together Saturday night at Shaney's home to carve pumpkins.

Shaney & Casey were busy picking out the pumpkin seeds so they could roast them while we carved the faces.

Cody was, of course, the life of the party.
After tormenting all of the children there by throwing knives into all of the pumpkins, he thought it would be funny if he put some red food dye in his mouth & scare the cousins like he had been punched in the mouth.

Little did he know the staining power of this dye.
As we were all laughing, he was drooling red coloring down into his goatee,
Shaney was getting him some hydrogen peroxide hoping that he could brush with it so his teeth wouldn't be stained!
After it was all said and done he had some very pretty bright
cherry red lips.
He commented that he wouldn't be able to teach his Sunday lesson now (secretly, I don't think he felt too bad about that!) haha

Ellie was elated with her finished product!

Sam & Dillon had fun in designing their pumpkin faces,
but mostly in handling the carving knives!

Bailee & Ash had fun too!
